The Greatest of the Mall is back for its second year at Bayside in partnership with Melbourne Food & Wine and is a snacc-fuelled tribute to Melbourne’s legendary mall food scene, cooked up by Raph Rashid – the mind behind Beatbox Kitchen, Taco Truck and All Day Donuts.

This year, we’re celebrating the iconic and timeless doughnut. Soft, pillowy and the perfect sweet canvas.

Raph Rashid (aka The Snacc Boss), has been making his way through Bayside with his friend Dani Venn to research, eat, explore, taste and be inspired. All in the name of creating an out-of-this-world doughnut made just for Bayside. Enter the Pink Lamington Doughnut.

Raph was born to the snack life – or, as he’d call it, the snacc life. Growing up above a Malaysian restaurant in Melbourne, street food and street culture have been passions for him from an early age. He is one of Australia’s food-truck pioneers, and is also a celebrated photographer, a broadcaster, publishes his own magazine, and was inducted into the Melbourne Food & Wine Festival Legends Hall of Fame as a trailblazer in 2013.

Dani MasterChef favourite, cook, podcaster and mum of two, Dani is passionate about creating simple, nourishing meals the whole family can enjoy. A familiar face from MasterChef Australia, Studio 10 and Everyday Gourmet, Dani has built a loyal following by sharing family-friendly recipes, lifestyle inspiration and her love of good food.
With a passion for bringing people together through cooking, Dani's warm and approachable style makes every kitchen feel welcoming.
