Some artists begin in studios. Father Marker (AKA Tyson Savanah) began on the street.
With a background deeply rooted in graffiti culture, Father Marker has spent years shaping his craft across walls, trains and public spaces, places where art is experienced by everyone, not just inside galleries.
His work blends geometric precision with organic movement, creating murals that feel both structured and alive. Sharp lines meet fluid forms, while bold compositions stretch across walls with confidence and clarity.
For Father Marker, murals are about more than painting large surfaces, they’re about connection.
The wall becomes a shared canvas between the artist, the environment and the people who pass by.
“Street art belongs to the people who walk past it every day.”
Growing up surrounded by urban environments, he found inspiration in the rhythm of the city architecture, typography, movement and the layered stories written across the streets themselves.
That influence still guides his work today.
Each mural is an exploration of space and scale, transforming familiar walls into moments that stop people mid-step.
At Bayside, Father Marker brings this philosophy to life, creating a new mural that adds another chapter to the centre’s evolving Artwork Trail.
